Privacy Policy
Effective June 5, 2026
The short version
- No tracking. No analytics. No ads.
- Your study data (courses, assignments, grades, sessions) lives on your device.
- Sign in with Apple is optional. We only see what Apple gives us to identify your account.
- Tips go through Apple. We never see your payment info.
Who we are
StudentFlow is an iOS app and companion web sign-in at studentflowapp.com, made by Joey Maglalang. For any privacy question, email gabmaglalang63@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
1. Apple sign-in (optional)
If you choose to sign in with your Apple ID, Apple gives StudentFlow a stable user identifier and — on your first sign-in only — the name and email you choose to share. (That email can be Apple's private relay address; we can't see your real one if you pick that option.)
That identifier is stored in our authentication backend (Supabase) so the same account works in the app and on the web. We use it only to keep you signed in. We do not currently sync any study data to our servers — sign-in is identity-only.
2. Canvas calendar feed (you provide)
If you connect Canvas, you paste your personal Canvas calendar (ICS) URL into StudentFlow. That URL is stored on your device only. StudentFlow fetches the feed directly from Canvas to display your events — the URL never reaches our servers.
3. Claude API key (you provide)
AI features are coming soon. If you enter a Claude API key for them, it is stored on your device only. When AI features ship, requests will go directly from your device to Anthropic's API — we don't see your key or your prompts.
4. Tips (StoreKit)
Tips are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. StudentFlow receives a transaction receipt — never your name, billing address, or payment details.
5. Crash reports
If you have "Share with App Developers" enabled in your iOS Privacy & Security settings, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us through App Store Connect. These reports contain no personal information.
What we don't collect
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect analytics, advertising IDs, or usage metrics.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
- We do not sell any data — there is no data to sell.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Courses, assignments, GPA, timer sessions, settings, your Canvas URL, and your Claude key all live in iOS-managed storage on your device.
- Supabase (sign-in only). The Apple-provided identifier and email associated with your StudentFlow account live in our Supabase project, used only to keep you signed in.
- Apple. Transaction receipts for tips are handled by Apple under their own privacy policy.
Your choices
- You can use StudentFlow without signing in. Sign-in is optional.
- To delete your StudentFlow account (and the identity record we hold in Supabase), email gabmaglalang63@gmail.com and we'll remove it within 30 days.
- To remove study data from your device, uninstall the app.
Children
StudentFlow is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please don't create an account.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and — if you have an account — note it on your next sign-in.
